The new stimulus package signed into law by President Obama Feb 17, 2009 called the American Recovery and Re-investment act allows qualified small wind turbines eligible for a 30% tax credit. This applies to homes owners and small businesses.
To a consumer or business purchasing a single 2.4KW residential wind turbine, it doubles their credit. Additionally, businesses will also have the option of receiving their credit in the form of a cash grant. More than 30 states at this time have additional tax credits or rebates for wind and or solar systems, Also tax exemptions for property taxes is some states are available.
With so many incentives it is obviously a great time to look into wind energy turbines for home or small business use.
